Queen Mary’s dolls house at Windsor Castle houses a complete service monogrammed with an ‘N’ for nursery and more modest homes often included place settings for the children of the house. The Victorians made china which often incorporated an educational aspect and alphabets were popular. For our nursery service we have chosen a rocking horse as a universal symbol of childhood and combined it with letters, numbers and phrases, which although our original design, has a timeless quality.
