STEP FOUR Add the
wallpaper, skirting boards and flooring.
|
|
 We have
designed the Blue Willow wallpaper especially to
match our dinner service and wash set. |
1. Print out the wallpaper using
normal quality print on a good quality matt paper. As inkjet ink is water
soluble, use a clear fixative spray to seal the front and back of the paper to
prevent the ink running when water based paste is applied.
2. Cut the remaining walls from heavy card and apply the
wallpaper. We used Grandmother Stover's glue (available from good miniatures
shops) which we thin with warm water to a creamy
consistency.
|
|
3. Assemble the walls using square section wood to reinforce the
joints.

|
|
|
4. Lay the flooring of your choice. We used floor boards which we
sanded and varnished.
5. Glue the finished
mantelpiece to the front of the chimney breast. (Note: the front span is a
little lower than the actual opening).

6. Cut lengths of skirting board to size
and varnish or paint before sticking to walls over the wallpaper and on top of
the flooring.

7. Have fun furnishing and adding
accessories.
